The course is designed to provide participants with sufficient knowledge of DP system operations, capabilities and limitations to make more informed operational decisions regarding station keeping. For operators of other systems, this course fosters a better understanding of Dynamic Positioning and its relationship to those systems. Prospective DP Operator Trainees obtain fundamental knowledge of system components and operation, as well as gain practical experience utilizing a full Class 3 DP System Simulator, in advance of entering the DP certification training scheme.
